Shandy Pan (Xinyi Pan) started working as an illustrator in New York, after completing her bachelor’s degree at the School of Visual Arts, class of 2023. Her artworks focus on capturing all the atmosphere and encounters her life, that is so worthy of remembering she feels obligated to record them.
Shandy integrates her artworks with the serene qualities derived from her Chinese upbringing. She finds that minor variations can evoke very different feelings in similar experiences. Moved by these often overlooked details, and out of subtle fear that she might forget, Shandy visualizes them through her brushes.
Shandy mostly works in gouache, ink, crayons, and digitally. Since graduating, her work has gained recognition from AI-AP, 3x3, and other platforms.
